Digital tools for analog printing: DIY stencils with Canva

Sáb Mar 8
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Teen workshop! Print your own poster or pocket notebook using digital tools to design and cut a stencil. Durable stencils can be reused and placed over multiple surfaces and materials to print with washable or permanent paints or inks!

In class, students will learn how to design a vector image using Canva and carve it into a stencil using automated Silhouette Cameo cutting machines. We will then print the design using rollers and stencil ink. No drawing skills necessary. All graphics will be created using Canva.

Leave class with your printed objects and the skills to create digital designs for rapid manufacturing tools and DIY art projects!

For teens in grades 6-12. Registration opens February 8.

Rockwood Makerspace programming is made possible by gifts to The Library Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting Multnomah County Library’s innovative and groundbreaking work.
