New Midland Library opens October 26 with ribbon cutting ceremony

PORTLAND, Ore.--October 25, 2024

Multnomah County Library is excited to celebrate the grand opening of the brand new Midland Library with two, fun-filled days of activities for the community and you’re invited. These events will run from Saturday, October 26 to Sunday, October 27 beginning with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, October 26.

What: Midland Library ribbon cutting ceremony as part of Multnomah County Library Capital Building Projects, brief remarks and photo opportunity

When: Saturday, October 26, 9:30-10 am

Where: Midland Library (805 SE 122nd Avenue, Portland, OR 97233)

Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson will join Midland Library’s ribbon cutting ceremony along with District 3 Commissioner Julia Brim-Edwards; Director of Libraries Annie Lewis; and Community Design Advocate Jay Tang. 

Following the remarks and ribbon cutting, community celebrations will begin with the White Lotus Dance Team, followed by hula, Bollywood dance and more. Patrons can stay up-to-date on the library website
