I firmly believe audiobooks are books, all dogs are good dogs, and that I can help you find some books (or graphic novels, or audiobooks) that you’ll love, too. As a youth librarian, it’s no surprise that I have a deep love of picture books and graphic novels and helping even new readers find books they’ll connect with. I love books with rich worldbuilding and characters I want to meet, be, or vanquish! Favorite adult and teen genres include:
- epic and urban fantasy,
- character-driven sci fi,
- well-researched and/or funny historical and contemporary romance,
- non-fiction that feels like storytelling rather than a college lecture.
I love books that are “mirrors, windows, and sliding glass doors,” reflecting our own lives or giving glimpses into experiences different than our own.
