Submit your book to the Library Writers Project

Thanks for sending us your book. We look forward to reviewing it! We will let you know whether or not it will be added to the collection by early January 2025.

The author is over 18 years of age.
Minors are required to have a legal guardian consent to the terms below.
Responsibilities
  • One submission per person, 13 years of age, or older. Submission received is considered final work and cannot be edited and resubmitted at a later date.
  • Author must have a library card issued by Multnomah County Library to enter. (Get a Library card)
  • Entries must be the writer's own work and may not be submitted without the writer’s knowledge and consent. 
  • Author must hold all rights to your submission, including the right to provide the e-book to Multnomah County Library for use in the collection.
  • In order to be considered, the submitted e-book must remain available on the self-publishing site (Draft2Digital or Kobo Writing Life) through January 2025. A chapter, or its equivalent, will be read for judging purposes.
  • The e-book may be mentioned and publicized in any library brochure, print ad, direct mail piece, social media, electronic media, (e.g. video, Internet, website) or other form of promotion without remuneration or further consent.
  • There will be no monetary compensation or license fee provided for submissions beyond royalties from regular book sales.
  • Submissions must be entered by 11:59 p.m. PST, Thursday, October 31, 2024.
  • Selected authors will be notified by email.
  • All decisions by the judging committee are final.
